2022-2024 Chevrolet Equinox Precut Paint Protection PPF Kit – Bumper Step
$39.99
Description
Chevrolet Equinox Bumper Step PPF Kit
Protect the rear bumper loading ledge of your Chevrolet Equinox with a precut paint protection film kit for the bumper step area. Coverage is limited to the shallow curved strip pictured in this listing, rather than the entire rear bumper. The film is intended for the corresponding painted ledge exposed when loading shopping bags, luggage and other cargo.
Vehicle, Year and Trim Confirmation
The existing vehicle finder and visible vehicle attribute list Chevrolet Equinox model years 2022, 2023 and 2024. The product image labels LS, LT, RS and Premier. The original description used “ALL” for trims; this is not independent confirmation that every year, trim and bumper configuration uses the same pattern.
The image filename references 2022–2023, while the listing and vehicle selections extend through 2024. That difference remains unverified. Confirm the pattern for your exact year and trim, particularly a 2024 vehicle, before ordering. Do not rely solely on the model name or year selector to establish fitment.
Included Coverage
The product image shows one shallow curved strip with squared ends for the rear bumper step/loading ledge. Compare the complete outline with the intended surface on your vehicle. The blue patterned appearance identifies the precut shape in the illustration; it is not a printed finish supplied on the installed film.
This kit does not include the full rear bumper face, liftgate, front bumper, hood, fenders or other body panels. Factory bumper protectors, trim pieces, replacement bumpers and other accessories can affect placement. Check the actual painted surface and resolve any mismatch before removing the film backing.
Film Choices and Appearance
Available selections include ProFusion 8 Mil, STEK Matte, Avery Supreme Defense, 3M Pro 100 Series, 3M Pro G200 and STEK Hydrophobic. Select your preferred film in the product controls before adding the kit to your cart. Consider how the chosen finish will look alongside the surrounding paint.
Film construction, surface properties, care requirements and any manufacturer warranty vary by selection. Refer to the chosen manufacturer’s current specifications rather than assuming every film has identical self-healing, stain-resistance or hydrophobic performance. Matte and gloss-oriented options can produce different appearances; choose based on the documented product characteristics.
Preparation and Application
Clean and decontaminate the loading ledge using procedures appropriate for the paint and selected film. Compare the supplied pattern with its backing still attached before beginning application. Stop if the shape, dimensions or edge positions do not correspond to the intended surface.
Follow the film manufacturer’s guidance for preparation, application solutions, working conditions and edge treatment. Careful alignment and controlled handling are important along a curved bumper ledge. Professional application is an option if you are unfamiliar with handling paint protection film or evaluating the pattern against your vehicle.
Care and Ordering Checklist
Observe the selected film manufacturer’s curing and cleaning instructions. Avoid abrasive cleaning and concentrated pressure-washer spray at exposed edges. Film can help reduce everyday surface wear, but cannot prevent every scratch, impact or paint defect.
Before checkout, verify your exact year, trim, bumper configuration, pictured strip and film choice. Resolve the noted year-reference difference and any other fitment uncertainty first. Keep your order details for future product and care questions.
