Description
Volkswagen Golf GTI Bumper Step PPF Kit
This precut paint protection film kit is listed for the 2018–2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI S, SE and Autobahn and supplies the pictured rear bumper-step strip. This loading-edge area sits below the rear cargo opening. The kit provides focused coverage for that area rather than a complete rear bumper wrap or a full-front package. Compare the illustrated shape and application details with your vehicle before ordering.
Included Coverage
The product image shows one shallow-curved strip with stepped, slanted ends. Only that pictured bumper-step piece is included. The vehicle illustration identifies the application; it does not indicate film for every visible painted panel. Front bumper, hood, fender and door pieces are outside this kit’s coverage. The blue geometric pattern illustrates the cut and is not a printed design on the film you receive.
Vehicle and Trim Confirmation
The title, year attribute and finder identify 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The artwork prints 2018–2021 and four-door, but its trim text repeats SE where the listing title names S, SE and Autobahn. Confirm your exact trim, body style and rear bumper pattern before purchase; the artwork text alone cannot settle that discrepancy. If accessories or replacement bodywork change the loading edge, contact us to check the cut. No additional model years are established by the image filename.
Protection at the Loading Edge
Paint protection film adds a protective layer to covered paint and can help reduce light surface scuffs during normal use. Continue lifting bags and cargo clear of the rear bumper whenever possible. Film does not make the surface scratch-proof or prevent dents and heavy impacts. Protection is limited to the area beneath the installed strip; the surrounding uncovered bumper is not protected by this kit.
Choose Your Film
The options displayed for this kit include ProFusion 8 Mil, S.T.E.K Matte, Avery Supreme Defense, 3M Pro 100 Series, 3M Pro G200 and S.T.E.K Hydrophobic. Review the selected manufacturer’s specifications to compare finish, performance and care requirements. Do not assume all options have identical properties. Your film selection determines the supplied finish; the colored coverage diagram is used to show the included shape.
Preparation and Care
Inspect the paint and compare the supplied piece with the bumper step before removing its liner. Thorough cleaning, careful alignment and suitable working conditions remain important with a precut pattern. Follow the chosen film manufacturer’s installation and curing instructions, or consult an experienced installer. After installation, follow the recommended washing and maintenance guidance and avoid directing high-pressure spray at exposed edges.
