Paint Protection Film is applied first to the portions of your vehicle that will be most susceptible to rock chips or scratches from road debris. Since Ceramic Coating does not protect against this kind of damage, it’s important to apply Paint Protection Film to these areas. This often includes the front bumper, hood, fenders, side mirrors, rocker panels, and the rear wheel arch.
Once the most vulnerable areas are protected with Paint Protection Film, your whole car receives Ceramic Coating. The coating will bond to both the vehicle’s factory paint and the film that has already been applied. When applied on top of the film, the coating will provide an additional layer of protection from chemical etching and stains. Pre Cut PPF store was Phenomenal! I ordered the 3M G200 film with the option for extra to wrap the edges and for parking sensors. they wrote me a personalized email with some very helpful installation tips and linked some videos to help me get an idea of what id be working with before hand. this was ordered with the hood for the Lexus as well and the hood for a 2020 Lincoln aviator. I was a first time installer and All cuts were dead on and there was no debris in the film prior to removal. Everything was labeled and packaged really well which is a huge contrast to other wrap companies I have ordered from. If there were any issues with the installation it was my buddy and I’s fault. However, aside from a fuzz or two we missed and the rock chips that were already in the car the installation turned out really good on all panels for both vehicles. the 3M film was very friendly to install just keep it wet when you are still moving it and once you get the feel for it the tack solution and gentle heat allow you to stretch or curve your way to a beautiful result. Watch the videos they send and bring a friend and I will be a repeat customer from here for sure!
