Paint Protection Film is a transparent, urethane material that can be applied to any exterior painted surface on your vehicle. In short, automotive Paint Protection Film preserves the quality of your car’s paint by reducing the risk of multiple kinds of damage, such as…

  • Chips and scratches caused by rocks and road debris
  • Swirl marks created during washing
  • Chemical stains caused by acidic contaminants
  • Chemical etch marks caused by acidic contaminants
  • Hard water spots from mineral deposits
  • Oxidation (fading) from UV exposure

Paint Protection Film is applied first to the portions of your vehicle that will be most susceptible to rock chips or scratches from road debris. Since Ceramic Coating does not protect against this kind of damage, it’s important to apply Paint Protection Film to these areas. This often includes the front bumper, hood, fenders, side mirrors, rocker panels, and the rear wheel arch.

Once the most vulnerable areas are protected with Paint Protection Film, your whole car receives Ceramic Coating. The coating will bond to both the vehicle’s factory paint and the film that has already been applied. When applied on top of the film, the coating will provide an additional layer of protection from chemical etching and stains. It will also help keep the film clean and free from contaminants, which will lengthen the life of the film.

    I have nothing but good things to say about this company, i have purchased this kit a month back, i took josh’s recommendation and went with XPEL Ultimate Plus, for my Blue Model Y Performance. Josh has been amazing from start to finish, he schooled me on install, sent me detailed instructions, guided me step by step on procedure getting in installed. XPEL GEL made a huge difference, if you get this kit buy XPEL Gel, it will make your install easier.
    Wrapped Version is awesome, took a little longer to wrap the edges as you have to let it dry before you wrap it under, but overall install went super smooth.
    You gained a lifetime customer, ill be back when i get another car in few years.

    This was my first experience with Installing PPF on a full vehicle, and it won’t be my last. I have never installed PPF and Ceramic Coating on my vehicles before. The work is not flawless, and I have no regrets about taking a risk and buying this product, and trying to apply it all by myself. It felt good accomplishing something without worrying about any part of my vehicle being damaged from rock chips. I’m very handy and had worked on all my cars, you name it I’ve done it. Everything on the Model Y looks good, I am not experiencing any bubbling, its smooth, some places need to be touched up, but overall it looks amazing.
    I Would highly recommend buying from here for any of your protection or film needs.

    Guys, if you are buying this kit, go for XPEL. It’s more fitting to work with and looks vertically invisible.

    Get the kit from Josh at OpusPremiumFilms.com. You won’t be disappointed. I have talked to him for weeks, he cares about his customers, and he helped me every step of the way to get it done.

    I have purchased PPF from them last year for a 2019 Model 3. I only struggled with bumpers. This was my first time installing PPF on my Model 3. I didn’t know you need a steamer to install the front bumper. Josh, the owner at opus premium films, was a super nice guy. I wish I would’ve messaged him first and got install tips before attempting installation myself. He also sent me a replacement for a front bumper for free to help me out. Overall it came out nice. Once I got the technique down, I was quoted 7k to get it professionally installed for PPF 8 Mil Ultimate Plus; at that price range, it is way out if my budget.

    I bought Wagner instant steamer, softened material when installing front and rear bumper, made install super simple and easy. XPEL GEL helped also.

    Get a syringe from a drugstore to pop bubbles that will be left behind once it dries. I have tried my best to get all the water squeegeed out but missed some places and popped them with the syringe.

    We just got a 2021 Model Y, ill be installing PPF on myself again, This time, it will be way easier. I already know the tricks.
